The short version
Your PDF files never leave your device. We store only what's needed to run your account, sync your reading spot, and bill Premium.
What we store
- Account: your email address, name and profile picture from the sign-in service you choose (Apple, Google, Microsoft, Discord or email link).
- Profile: your display name and, only if you add it, a phone number. We never use your phone number to sign you in and we don't send texts or codes to it.
- Reading data: for each book, its file name and size, how far you've read, your bookmarks, the word you marked as your spot, and your reading settings. This lets your progress follow you to other devices.
- Membership: your plan, status and renewal date. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach us.
What stays on your device
Your PDF files, the covers made from them, and the folder you picked stay in your browser's storage on your device.
Who processes data for us
- Supabase (accounts and database)
- Cloudflare (website hosting)
- Stripe (payments)
- PayPal (only if you choose to donate)
- The sign-in service you choose
We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
Audiobook
The audiobook uses your device's built-in voices. Some browsers offer "online" voices that send the text being read to the browser maker's servers; voices marked "(online)" in the voice list work this way.
Your choices
You can edit your profile anytime and delete your account from Profile → Delete my account, which removes your account, profile and synced reading data. Stripe keeps payment records as the law requires. Questions or requests: [CONTACT EMAIL].
