Terms of Service

Last updated: [DATE]

Template: replace everything in [BRACKETS] and have a lawyer review this before you launch. This is a starting point, not legal advice.

Who we are

Aurora ("we", "us") is run by [YOUR NAME OR BUSINESS NAME], [CITY, STATE], United States. Contact: [CONTACT EMAIL].

Your account

You can sign in with Apple, Google, Microsoft, Discord or an email link. Keep access to that sign-in method secure. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use Aurora.

Your books

Aurora opens PDF files from your own device. Your files are not uploaded to us. You're responsible for making sure you have the right to read the files you open. Don't use Aurora for anything illegal.

Premium

Premium costs $4 per month or $35 per year (plus any tax). It renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from Profile → Manage billing; you keep Premium until the end of the period you've paid for. Payments are processed by Stripe. [STATE YOUR REFUND POLICY, for example: "We don't offer refunds for partial periods, but contact us if something went wrong and we'll make it right."]

We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice. Changes apply from your next renewal.

Donations

Donations through PayPal are voluntary, don't buy Premium or any other product, and aren't refundable or tax deductible.

Availability

We work to keep Aurora running but can't promise it will always be available or error-free. Aurora is provided "as is" to the extent the law allows.

Ending your account

You can delete your account anytime from your profile. We may suspend accounts that misuse the service.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes and law

We'll post changes here and update the date above. These terms are governed by the laws of [STATE], United States.
